Arte, memoria e oggetti da portare con sé
In the heart of Ischia’s Aragonese Castle, Borbonico Art&Shop was born as a space dedicated to the beauty, memory and narrative of the place.
A small atelier overlooking history, where every object holds a fragment of the Castle: watercolors, fine art prints, postcards, sketchbooks and carefully selected souvenirs.
Not just a store, but a rediscovered room, made visitable again, where art meets memory and turns it into something to take with you.
An art workshop inside the Castle
Borbonico Art&Shop is located in one of the historic rooms of the Aragonese Castle, a space that has changed function and identity over time, yet retains the charm of its ancient architecture.
Probably born as a room related to the religious life of the castle, as the ceiling vaults suggest, it was later transformed in 1823 into part of the Bourbon prison complex.
Later restored by Adv. Nicola Mattera, became his professional practice. Today, this place is once again opening to the public as a space for art, memory and sales, giving visitors back a room filled with history.
Artistic souvenirs and original works
Bourbon Art&Shop’s selection stems from a desire to offer visitors an authentic memory of Ischia’s Aragonese Castle.
Alongside his fine art and watercolors, the shop offers postcards, bookmarks, sketchbooks, bags, and prints by local artists: simple but carefully curated objects designed to hold an image, an emotion, a perspective of the Castle.
A memory that comes from place
Each product is designed to maintain a direct link to the experience of the visit.
Castle views, architecture, terraces, the sea, botanical details and Mediterranean atmospheres become signs, images and surfaces to be preserved.
Bourbon Art&Shop is dedicated to those who wish to take away not just a souvenir, but a small trace of the time spent within these walls.
